Emile Cos Phantasmagoria 1908

First animation ever made and I enjoyed watching it. The animation has a very interesting narrative and simple. The narrative is changing all the time in an interesting way and this that makes it very interesting and special.

Ivan Sutherland's Sketchpad

The “animation” looks magical and just amazing, the idea to use the pin screen to make the character and changing the pin shapes to the next picture or position is just phenomenal, the animation looks so real and in my opinion it stands on the same level as todays animation and it will always look modern.

The Tale of the Fox - Wladyslaw Starewicz (1930)

Very well animated and great job with lip-synch and sound. I love the way it has been animated . The lights and background matches perfectly. I felt that some kind of rotoscoping has been used because the body movement  are so precise. Maybe some kind of suit and acting have been involved in some scenes. This stop motion animation is one of the best, It will definitely inspire me in my future work.

Jean Painleves barbie-beue Bluebeard 1936 Stop Motion

I am a fan of stop motion animation but this one was kind of odd to watch. I loved the transformation at the beginning of the animation, very good idea but I didn't like the sound and music, they were very disturbing for me. The animation overall is ok, animate the character wasn’t good enough, felt like something is missing.

Paul Grimaults L'epouvantail (The Screacrow) 1943

The animation style looks identical as Disney's ones, very smooth animated and the colours are appealing and strong with a good narrative.
